Midseason Heisman Odds

College football’s top quarterbacks, including the winner from the previous year, are among the favorites for the Heisman Trophy.

(-140) Michael Penix Jr., the quarterback out of Washington, is currently leading the way after a narrow victory over the previously undefeated Ducks 33-36. A statement win over Oregon plus a loss for Caleb Williams and USC have cemented Penix atop the Heisman leaderboard.

(+900) Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel has quickly found himself at the top of the Heisman polls after guiding Oklahoma to a victory over rival Texas.

(+1200) LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels statistics are near Heisman-worthy, but LSU’s two losses make it just about impossible for him to win the award.

(+1200) Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy has led the Wolverines to a +32.7 average win margin this season as not a single team has come close to defeating the Wolverines however, Michigan’s schedule is back-heavy making those statistics not nearly as attractive. McCarthy’s Heisman fate most definitely will be decided upon the outcome of two games, Penn State, and Ohio State.

(+1 600) Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis and the Seminoles find themselves with an undefeated record, including triumphs over LSU and Clemson. If the Seminoles are able to run the tables and earn a spot in the playoffs, expect Travis to make a big jump in the Heisman race.

Dark Horse Heisman Contenders

(+1 600) UNC quarterback Drake Maye Averages an impressive 300 passing yards per game, however, A near loss in double 0T to Appalachian State seems to be a blemish on his record at this point in the season.

(+2500) Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is fourth in the nation in passing yards. With tight end Brock Bowers out indefinitely, his job will become more difficult.

(+3000) Bo Nix the quarterback out of Oregon found his Heisman stock fall tremendously after a rough loss to the undefeated Washinton Huskies. Nix is nevertheless performing at a level that, provided the Ducks avoid any missteps the rest of the way, will merit Heisman consideration.

(+3000) USC’s quarterback Caleb Williams suffered a 28-point loss to Notre Dame in a game where he struggled to stay consistent. With a stacked Pac-12, odds for a playoff run are slim.
